2020-11 Search Strategies and Tools – Part I

Location: ONLINE EVENT
Date: Monday, 16 November 2020
Time: 7:00-9:00PM

How well do you keep files and documents from past years/weeks/days on your systems? Do you follow an organizational plan in your file creation process where you plan on easy retrieval, or, do you adhere to a growing trend in “file management chaos” where there is no plan and depend solely on good file retrieval tools? Is there still a need for creating hierarchical stacks of folders and documents to make file retrieval more like a well-organized filing cabinet? Do you follow policy on file creation and file location?

In this round-table talk, we take stock of our file retrieval strategies and try to examine efficiencies in production settings. What tools are used or do we depend more on the more traditional folder/file directory and sub-directories model.

To join in on the meeting, RSVP to marc.pare@kwnpsa.ca. A couple of days before the event, you will be sent a link to our web conferencing platform.

See you at the meeting!
